A better place

I came across Thinking About My Death on your website...I know I must have read it [before my dad got sick], but it didn't strike a chord with me until now. None of us know how much time we have left, but we can choose what we want to do with it. When I leave this Earth, I want people to believe the world is a better place because I was here...

Australia fan

Your dedication to your fans is phenomenal, even down here in Australia...I often find myself reflecting on Rich's words when life throws a curve ball; Keep Striving to be a better person, Keep Striving to make a better life/community, Keep Striving in all aspects of your life. Keep Striving - it's the most anyone can do. I'm always impressed by Rich's attitude, even in defeat - he truly is a role model who transcends all demographics. Thank you very much for your time, your words and your inspiration.

We fight for Rich

I'm glad Rich doesn't pay attention to [mma websites]. Rich has enough fans on the forums who fight for him there, while he fights for us in the octagon. Just want to say Rich is an inspiration. He is why I watch mma and the reason my son wants to start his training now. Can't wait to see his next fight. Keep it up. God bless.

Easy to forget

I just wanted you to know that someone posted this ("Thinking about my Death" Equation) on MMAForum.com and there were a lot of people that said a lot of nice things about it. This is my favorite "Equation" yet. It's so easy to forget what people are really worth, even if they are the people that we can't stand. Thanks.

A few more days

Rich you could not have been more right. I have been a RN in an emergency room for nearly 10 years. I have seen many wishing for just a few more days . Everyone should be aware of how quickly life can be taken from you. I know I try to savor every moment that I can. Train hard for Hamill, good luck I will be watching.

Blink of an eye

I'm sorry about the loss of your father. He was very young, but I don't need to tell you that he's still with you in spirit, because you probably know that already. To quote something I heard once "Every man dies, but not every man lives." It's all a blink of an eye in time, but it's what you do in that blink that truly marks whether you lived or not.

I love the heck out of you guys and what you do for the sport of MMA. I just can't say enough good things about you two to everyone and the fact that you all are from my backyard is great too b/c as much as I love the Bengals and Reds, Rich has brought more gold to the city than either of those teams.

Out with the garbage

Very timely and excellent Franklin Equation this week. It really hit home for me as these past few weeks have been very very difficult at work and I am rudderless at the moment. Looking at this monthly number allows for greater focus on the things that truly matter and time wasting activities (or careers) need to be thrown out with the garbage. Thanks for putting life (and death) in perspective...

Thanks for the advice

My name is Robert Santiago and I recently wrote to you from Iraq asking how you stay motivated over time. Your advice couldn't have some at a better time. The grappling tournament I am going to be in is less than 30 days away, and we have been conducting alot of missions lately. I boasted about getting a response out of an accomplished mixed martial artist, and everyone was just as stoked as I am. I just wanted to say thanks for the insight when my motivation was failing.
