I have been a huge Rich fan for what seems a long time.. My wife calls him my boyfriend.. whatever that’s supposed to mean.. I find that my favorite fight of Rich’s was the Ken Shamrock fight. Not only did Rich show great skills he also showed humbleness in victory. 4 things you can count on with Rich He has put the hours in the gym preparing, he’s not going to get into the trash talking, he’s going to give 120% effort in the ring and he is going to be gracious in victory or defeat. Rich shows his faith not by word but his actions.

BTW I appreciate the stories each month. I hope to see you all in Bloomington on 12/5..

Every time you step into the ring is your best performance, win or lose. Your character makes you the winner of every fight even before the opening bell rings. Thanks for all the memories you have give us the fans. Can’t wait to see your next fight.

MY BEST PERFORMANCE

All of my fights hold distinct memories for me. The fans tend to remember my quick knock out of Nate Quarry, or my successful armbar escape from Travis Lutter’s submission attempt, or my 3 round battle with Wanderlei Silva.

I think the one that stands out the most though- is my 5 round war against tough competitor, David Louiseau. I broke my hand in the second round and fought over 15 minutes more with the broken hand. I could feel my bones clicking together every time I threw a punch or tried to make a fist.

That victory was bitter sweet. David and I ended up hanging out in the hospital for the rest of that night. Somehow fighting with a broken hand didn’t seem as glorious to me as the fans make it seem, but I am glad the fans were impressed.
